ARES is excited to partner with the Franklin Pierce Community in support of a FREE community event called Pac Ave Summer Palooza. This event will be a celebration of the graduating eighth graders from Keithley (Kolts) and Ford Middle (T-Birds) Schools (Tacoma, Washington). The students have been involved in the planning of this event and decided on the name “Pac Ave Summer Palooza” and decided on the slogan “When Two Sides Unite”.
Alisha Chang (Summit-Parkland Youth Association) and Kelsey Isaacson (Home with K Isaacson) have been spearheading the effort to bring the community together with the support of both High Schools (Franklin Pierce and Washington) as well as MANY other community members. The Pac Ave Summer Palooza will be hosted at FP Stadium as this is where both High Schools, the Cardinals and Patriots, compete in their sports competitions and it is therefore a central fixture in the community.
This is a FREE community event with food, fun, and festivities to celebrate our eighth graders transitioning into their high school education. Groups from each of the schools will be participating in the festivities as well as entertainment from their various talents including cultural dances, a drum off, interactive sport activities, club performances, and an art exhibit.
